What makes the Nd:YAG laser stand out is its ability to work exceptionally safely and effectively on all skin types — and especially on darker skin.

While other laser systems struggle on dark skin to distinguish between melanin in the hair and in the skin, the Nd:YAG laser penetrates the skin cells to reach every hair follicle safely. A master of flexibility — from large body areas through to finer hair.

OneTEC needle epilation — electrolysis

Radio Wave Spectrum (RWS) · For hair the laser cannot reach

Laser light needs melanin as its target — white, grey, very light and red hair has too little of it. This is exactly where OneTEC® needle epilation comes in: the electro-epilation that removes hair permanently¹ even where every laser passes it by.

For this, OneTEC® uses the RWS procedure (Radio Wave Spectrum). A hair-fine probe follows the natural hair canal down to the root and delivers multi-frequency energy pulses there. Pulse strength, pulse duration and modulation are microprocessor-controlled and finely adjustable — hair by hair and entirely independent of hair colour. Most common application: a lady’s moustache, chin and upper lip, as well as individual remaining hairs after a laser treatment.

Which laser is best for my skin type?

There is no single „best“ laser — only the right one. On light skin (Fitzpatrick I–II) the Alexandrite laser is the gold standard. On dark skin (V–VI) it is the Nd:YAG laser. For large areas, the IPL Sirius. For blonde or grey hair, OneTEC® needle epilation. In Luxembourg we assess your skin type in person and recommend the method that genuinely works for you.

What is the difference between Alexandrite and Nd:YAG?

Both are lasers, but with different wavelengths. Alexandrite (755 nm) is strongly absorbed by melanin — ideal for light skin with dark hair, fast and precise. Nd:YAG (1064 nm) penetrates deeper and is absorbed less by surface skin melanin — safe on dark or tanned skin as well.

Does laser work on blonde or grey hair?

Conventional lasers need melanin in the hair as their target. Blonde, white or grey hair lacks this melanin — the laser energy has nothing to act on. For these cases we use OneTEC® needle epilation with the RWS procedure, which works hair by hair via an electrical impulse.

Is laser hair removal in Luxembourg painful?

With modern cooling technology and SWT-IPL, most clients feel a light prickling — comparable to a brief flick of an elastic band. A numbing cream is generally not necessary. We always test sensitivity during the free trial session.

How many sessions do I need?

Depending on the zone, skin type and hair growth phase, 6–10 sessions are recommended. Clear results are already visible after 3–4 sessions. You receive your individual plan after the analysis in Luxembourg — in writing, transparent, with all costs.

Wavelengths explained: 755 nm, 1064 nm and SWT

The Alexandrite laser (755 nm) is intensely absorbed by the melanin in the hair — fast and effective on light skin. The Nd:YAG laser (1064 nm) penetrates deeper and reliably distinguishes between skin and hair melanin — safe on dark skin as well. The IPL Candela Sirius uses SWT technology (Selected Waveband Technology), which filters out unwanted wavelengths.

Why four devices instead of one?
